CEO says Russia’s VTB likely to buy 2 banks in Siberia, Urals
DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s second largest bank VTB has finished due diligence of regional banks, and is very likely to buy two banks in Siberia and in the Urals, CEO Andrei Kostin told reporters on Wednesday.
“We are working on them. We have an understanding, but the deal has not been finished yet. I think the probability of us buying regional banks is rather high. But we have not made a final decision yet, though we have finished due diligence,” he said.
He said the bank is considering a purchase of two banks – one in Siberia and one in the Urals.
